SUMMARY:Qi Gong and Mindfulness Workshop with Dr. Scott Greenapple
DESCRIPTION:Qi Gong is a combination of movement\, breath techniques\, postures\, and Mindfulness Meditation.\n\nAlso known as movement meditation or as Harvard has called it “Movement Medication”. Qi means “Lifeforce\, vital energy\, breath”. Gong means “cultivation or work”.\n\nSo\, Qi Gong can be translated as “mastering your vital energy” to open the most profound medicine found within your own body.\n\nMost if not all of the benefits of Qi Gong and movement meditations are centered around cultivating our own mind/body and spirit allowing the body to self-regulate and help strengthen our own immune response and turn on the “healer within”.\n\nCome join Dr. Greenapple as he teaches a Medical form of Qi Gong\, Wudang Eight Silken Brocades (Baduanjin)\, one of the oldest and most sought-after practices that he learned from Master Zhou when he traveled to the rural mountains of China for study.\n\nThis practice focuses on clearing stagnation\, aiding to strengthen and enhance all the organs in the body as they follow the 12 meridians of Chinese acupuncture systems. As well\, Mindfulness Meditation practice will be added to the class. Currently\, in China and Russia\, Qi Gong is being taught to hospitalized patients recovering from COVID 19.\n\nBenefits of Qi Gong have been linked to some of the following:\n\nImproves Focus and Concentration\nBalances the Nervous System\nInsomnia\nMigraines/Headaches\nDigestive Disorders\nStress/Anxiety/Depression\nChronic Pain\nArthritis\nChronic Inflammation\nStrengthen Muscles\nRelease Muscle Tension\nCancer (symptoms of fatigue and brain fog)\nPulmonary and Breathing Issues\nBalance and Coordination\nSports and Performance Enhancement\n\nThe class will be limited to 20 participants.\nCost: $25\nCall 704-390-7150 or download the Mindbody app to register.\n\n	\n Sign Up
