About the Cause

Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Charlotte-based organizations with the goal of advancing equitable access to quality healthcare.

Meet Dr. Joe Wheeler

Charlotte native. Cancer survivor. Chiropractor. Yoga teacher. Mental health advocate.

After surviving thyroid cancer and navigating his own struggles with depression and anxiety, Joe understands firsthand how vital accessible mental health care is, especially for children and teens.

He’s proud to support organizations like The Katie Blessing Foundation through Dancing with the Stars Charlotte.

Joe owns and operates his chiropractic practice inside Thrive Carolinas, specializing in athletes and active adults, helping people move better, recover smarter, and stay active long-term.
