Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful meditation and stillness practice.

Think of it like the most restful nap you’ve ever had, but you’re aware the whole time!
Yoga Nidra is rooted in intentional rest in the physical body while keeping your mind active. The meditation guides you through a rotation of sensory perception and visualization exercises. Yoga Nidra is practiced laying down (or however is most comfortable for you) with the support of various props to encourage grounding relaxation.
This workshop is open to everyone! You’ll practice the techniques of Yoga Nidra and learn ways to incorporate them at home.

 

Yoga Alliance continuing education credits (CEUs) will be provided for yoga teachers and practitioners seeking continuing education.

About the Instructor:

Vivian Selles (she/her) is an experienced registered yoga teacher and Yoga Alliance continuing education provider (ERYT-200/RYT-500/YACEP). Yoga is action, and Vivian cultivates positive change in the yoga community through her practice and teachings. Vivian’s intention as a yoga teacher is to create and hold safer, accessible spaces for all people on their path to liberation.

Vivian combines her extensive education and experiential expertise, teaching yoga philosophy and practices in eating disorder recovery treatment centers and through national/international online training. She also teaches Yoga For Eating Disorders and holds certifications in several modalities, including chair yoga, trauma-informed yoga, and as a Be Body Positive Facilitator.

She obtained her 200-hour certification in 2014 and is currently studying to become a certified yoga therapist. Vivian’s passion is mindful, conscious living of her yoga practice on and off the mat. Follow Vivian on Instagram at @justanotheryogateacher.
