Beyond Cholesterol: Rethinking Heart Health
Yoga & Learn with Dr. Palermo
February is Heart Health Month, a perfect time to rethink what heart health really means. While cholesterol often receives the most attention, true cardiovascular health extends far beyond a single number.
Factors such as metabolic health, inflammation, genetics, blood sugar regulation, and lifestyle habits all play a critical role in how well your heart functions over time. Focusing on cholesterol alone can overlook important parts of the picture.
A Broader View of Cardiovascular Health
At Thrive, heart health is viewed through a whole-body lens. In this upcoming Yoga & Learn session, Dr. Nancy Palermo will share evidence-based insights into the many systems that influence cardiovascular health and why understanding these connections matters for long-term wellness.
This session will help demystify common heart health myths and equip you with knowledge beyond traditional lab results, so you can make informed, confident decisions about your care.
