Self care is health care! While we are all doing our best to be mindful with physical distancing and practicing good awareness of not spreading germs, do not forget to take care of your body, breath and mind.
Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Mindfulness Meditation are all ways to open the naturally self-healing mechanisms that are activated in the human system by slow movements and deep breaths.
Movement and breath together are like an engine that creates a medicine or an elixir in your body for wellness and immune support at NO COST!
Watch this video and see if you can follow along with these easy 5 Tai Chi steps. This was taught to me in China from some wonderful teachers and is part of a program that certifies trainers in what is called “Tai Chi Easy”.
Do not get caught up in “doing it right” as the most important aspect of practice is the intention. Follow along or just watch and listen. It is just about being present and aware to what is going on now without judgement. Take some breaths today and throughout the day to calm the mind and connect the body, breath and mind and feel the positive energy stored inside.
