In this week’s Motivation, Dr. Fletcher discusses the importance of increasing lean muscle mass.

This can be achieved by eating healthy lean proteins and through strength + resistance training. She also shares the loss of lean muscle mass when using semaglutide products like Ozempic or Wegovy. Studies have shown that 40% of the weight lost on these drugs is lean muscle mass.

It’s important to know your body fat and lean muscle mass percentage. We use the InBody scan at Thrive to monitor those numbers. Through the month of December, scans are only $25.
