Thriver Spotlight: Dia Steiger
Dia Steiger began teaching yoga in 2008 and has had the pleasure of introducing yoga to individuals from various walks of life.
From those who choose to practice in a south Charlotte studio to our homeless neighbors who struggle with addiction, she has witnessed the power of this practice that folds movement into stillness. Get to know Dia in this edition of the Thriver Spotlight

Dia Steiger
What is your superpower at Thrive?
Not sure that I have a superpower….unless being a senior citizen counts. 🙂
No seriously, I think there’s a power behind awakening and empowering my students to be their best.
What’s so special about Thrive?
Their personal attention in a peaceful environment, it’s unique to Charlotte!
Where did you grow up?
Orangeburg, SC and Chattanooga, TN
Any Activities/Hobbies outside of Thrive?
Yes! I love playing in the dirt with my granddaughters, my dog, and my hens!
What is your definition of Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine to me is patient-centered rather than disease-centered–which is why I love teaching yoga at Thrive –to help folks get out of their heads and into their bodies

Slow flow…it’s mindful and empowering
If you could have one Super Power, what would it be?
To awaken and empower my students
Do you believe pineapple should be on pizza? (Gluten-Free, of course)
