Within the darkness and hibernation, we can rest and recharge. Slowing down, conserving our energy and working on our internal balance or more “Yin” energy. In traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the element associated with winter is water and the two meridians and organs associated with the water element are the kidneys (Yin) and the bladder (Yang). The kidneys and the bladder control water metabolism and maintain homeostasis. Earth is made up of 75% water and approximately 60% of our body weight is water. In 1997, Suzanne moved to Charlotte with her husband and triplet boys and began practicing Power Yoga with her neighbor, Grace Morales. She completed Power Yoga and Hot 26TM Yoga teacher training with Grace in 2005 has attended workshops and training with Bryan Kest, Seane Corne, and Rolf Gates. Debbie Cohen, a fitness enthusiast from the suburbs of Boston, cannot remember a time when she wasn’t involved in some sort of sport. It wasn’t until college though, that she was introduced to yoga. Mindy completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2013 and relocated to Charlotte that same year from the D.C. Metropolitan Area.   Mindy has been practicing yoga for over a decade. She has been teaching all levels Vinyasa Flow Classes for the past couple of years and considers her students to be her best teachers.  Her classes can be described as gentle and easy flowing with an emphasis on the breath. Vivian started her practice in 2012 after dabbling in and out of yoga for over a decade. In 2014, she completed her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance® Teacher Training with Lee Anne Smith.
