Sweet and Spicy Glazed Cashews

Ingredients 3 cups of unsalted raw cashews ¾ coconut sugar ½ t dried crushed chili ½ t cayenne pepper ¼ t salt 2 T avocado oil Directions Spread cashews on a baking sheet and place in a 350-degree oven. Brown for about 15 minutes. Remove and allow to cool. In a wok or large cooking pot add oil plus chili flakes and cayenne. Stir pepper and chili into the oil. When hot add nuts and stir fry until nuts are well coated. Add salt and sugar. Stir fry another minute until they dissolve. We introduced Nancy’s unbelievable Avocado Salsa Verde recipe during our Cardiometabolic program in 2019 and it's been a fan favorite since. This simple recipe is unbelievably delicious and perfect for these warm summer weekends on the patio with friends!   Ingredients: 1 large, ripe, peeled Hass Avocado 1/3 cup diced tomato 2 T red onion finely chopped ½ t serrano pepper seeded and minced 1 t garlic, minced 1 T fresh lime juice 2 T fresh cilantro, chopped Pinch of coconut sugar and salt & pepper to taste.
